the usb ports work well in window seven. but in xp, i have first to remove the power cable for 2 minutes then restart my pc, for it to work.
I know xp is old and the newer socket 1150 asus B85M-G is not really made for this old operating system, but lets just say i can't drop xp right now because of some work. So can anybody please suggest a solution if possible, i have already updated my bios to latest one.

thks

If they work fine in 7 it's not a hardware issue. Make sure you have the chipset and other drivers for XP installed. If you already have all the updates, nothing else you can do unless you want to add an add-on USB card that has XP drivers to the computer.
