music/movies headphones under $100?

Hey everyone
i want to ask about best headphones under $100 for music and movies.
i don't have a sound card too and my motherboard is Gigabyte Z68AP-D3
, i have a Razer Electra now but it's not good.
i might give the sound card $35 only if it worth and will make a difference

i wish if someone could help me & tell me his opinion if it worth change or not

90% of the PC sound quality is not determined by the sound-card but from your end-driver like active speakers and headphones.
On-board sound card is enough.

The best bang for buck (music headphone) is the Audio Technica ATH-M50.
The normal price should be around USD170 but I bought it during special sale for about USD100.

For games and movies, ATH-M50 is ok but if you are expecting surround sounds, real/simulated surround sounds.
ATH-M50 will not do the trick. You will need things like Logitech G35, etc.
The problem is, those surround headset is relative bad for music.

i don't care at all about gaming and games, all I'm asking for is the best quality sound i can get with my price.
Is there a big difference between ATH-M50x and ATH-M40x?
I'm trying my best to catch a good deal in this Black Friday ^^

Consider that you are listening on a certain 320kbps mp3 or CD or flac etc. etc. using a certain player. (consider that everything beside sound card and end driver are the same)
if you consider 100 points as to the quality full reference.
End driver for PC like the active loud speaker or headphones contribute 90 points from 100.
The 10 points are coming from your soundcard.
The headphone is more important than the sound card.
If you already have an excellent headphone, only then you might as well hunt for a good soundcard, not the other way around.
