Computer beeping after ram upgrade

Hey guys, I recently bought another 8GBx1 stick to my pc (i want 16, already got 8)
and when I plugged the new stick, the pc keeps beeping & restarting all time. it won't boot :/
when I take the new stick out it works.

my motherboard is GA-HM81-D2V - it seems to support the new ram ....
what is the problem? im so lost... :(

The RAM stick may be defective. Did you try it in another slot in the mobo? That's step 1. There's a chance it has to do with the speed.

Does your PC still work fine whenever you just have the older, previously working stick in?

Yeah it does work fine when the older stick is in. i tried plugging the new stick to both slots it just won't work. maybe it is defective... but its new out of the box how could it be..
