Can I upgrade?

I'm planning on upgrading from a Nvidia GTX 660 to a Nvidia GTX 970, will I be able to successfully do this with my current hardware?

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
Motherboard: Alienware - Model: 0KM92T

Looking at the sticker on my adapter
Output:19.5V / 16.9 A
Input: 100 - 240V / 4.4A / 50-60Hz

Also, will it fit in the graphics card slot?

That motherboard has 1 PCIe 2.0 x16 slot so you're good there

330W...doesn't cut it. Is this build only being run by this adapter or is there a power supply inside the case?

It seems that x51's are able to both hold the graphics card and power it? Has this person edited their PC somehow?

Looking into it that graphics card is 9.5 inches the perfect size for an X51, and the worst that could happen is that I'd have to down-clock slighty?

I currently have: http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-660/specifications (according to this I need 450 watts to run this? How can this be true if I only have 330 watts?)

From other forums to setups, your system can handle the GTX 970. The TDP of the 970 is only 5W more of that the 660, so it shouldn't be an issue. Nvidia always recommend higher power supplies then you really need.
