Hi all

I am currently working on a new build, it would. Have been simple, but it isn't.

I have:

Gigabyte z97x gaming 7 motherboard

Intel i7 4770 k cpu

MSI GTX 970 GAMING Twin Frozr

G. Skill ripsaw ddr 3, 16gb

Corsair 700w gt series psu.

No matter what I do I can't get a monitor signal, the monitor and come are confirmed as working.

I have tried removing the MSI 970 and using the inboard gpu

I have tried removing the memory

I'm getting a number of 20 on the led on the motherboard and the book says reserved, so I assume it's not throwing up any errors.

I have check and I'm sure all parts are compatible but please feel free to correct me.

This motherboard has dual bios, if it's set to dual then it keeps rebooting, set to single and it appears to boot but I don't get any beeps nor do I get a signal on the monitor.

I have also removed all sata drives incase it's those but I don't even get a post boot with nothing connected.

I'm assuming either a cpu or motherboard fault but I'm hoping I'm wrong and I've missed something

Pls help :)

be sure, you installed the cpu correctly (no bent or colored Pins of Mainboard Socket)

8Pin ATX12V power connected and not just 4 Pin

reset the BIOS by jumper or removing battery

disconnect all hardware, even Keyboard, mouse and USB devices except one RAM (dimm1, change module if nothing happens), CPU(with cooler), Mainboard, PSU
