Hi there from Spain.

I have this GPU from 2 weeks ago. I could overclock it by its Gigabyte Gurú OC software, but now I can't do it anymore. Even If I try with MSI or Catalyst software to Overclock it. It colapses my PC, and have to restart it always.

The GPU is working really nicely on Far Cry 3, all on ultra settings, so I'm convinced it's not a hardware problem, 'cause in the past workerd the OC, increasing my FPS's and temperature on differents software utilities.

Don't know if do I have to reinstall all my PC software from the begining, start over againg and pray.

I've tryed restalling AMD drivers, Windows 8.1, and also the Gigabyte Gurú controllers. Nothing worked out. It's not a PSU issue.

Just wondering if anyone had an OC Gpu that after a while couldnt be OC any longer.

Thanks you community! Hasta luego ;)

It isn't PSU just because worked fine for long sessions of gaming. Also because I have a Cooler Master 550Watt 80 Plus Bronze, and my reccomendation from Gigabyte is just 500Watt for this GPU.

Make no sense think about PSU that now cant make it, also because : its giving me OC options. If I tune just a little, minimum values, over the stock configuration it crashes.

That's the point :( its falling to any oc

When I clock down it works, also increasing 100 Mhz the GPU Clock and 260Mhz the Memory Clock. After that I've tried with +200Mhz and 400Mhz and crashed completly the Starcraft II main menu. Happends only on videogames graphics. None in desktop.

The thing is, is not that it crashes after a while, after a high performance work or requirements. Its just some incompatibility that didn't exist before.

I'm afraid can be related with some kind of extra feature of my Motherboard (a pretty good Asus Z97 - K ) at its Al Suite 3 (that includes Fan Xpert, settings for the Processor and so on, but I haven't change any kind of supply features. Indeed I've turned to defaults settings on every software related with video performance.

This GPU card was working for a few sessions on the max. settings permited by its own software. What the hell is going on? XD

Something more: the AMD overdrive settings shows the same as the Gigabyte software: that I can't increase or decrease voltage values, cause are automatics.

Now its working fine on a low OC settings (+150GPU Clock +320 Memory Clock) wich is a shit compared to +1500Mhz GPU Clock and +3000 Memory Clock that once worked.

EDDIT: have crashed even at this low OC settings over the stock settings. What a shame... :S :S

I'm pretty sure in this huge community theres somebody with the right solution. Thank you!

Sorry mate, you're right.

I've tried the maximum settings that the program/software had permited at +300 (GPU clock) +900 (memory clock)

That means a whole 1400Mhz (1.100 +300Mhz OC) and 6.500 (5.600 +900 oc)

I can assure I have tried the program at maximum settings permited. The thing is that I can't even reach the half of the OC that Guru OC II Sofware (same as AMD Overdrive) reads that the GPU can get.

Regards! Thanks

Just wondering, what sort of crashes are you experiencing? Is it a red screen or a BSOD? That could maybe help to narrow down the issue...

Something I have done with my 270x is just simply to replace the cooling paste with a better aftermarket paste. While it did not make a MASSIVE difference, I can now somewhat overclock it, and with the fan speeds turned up to about 75%, I can play intensive games without the dreaded red sccreen.
