i have an old pc,just bought for it ram 2 Giga and i have already 1x2Giga
so now i have 2 x2 Giga . and my motherboard says that it support up to 4 Giga and i have Both external&onboard GPU,BUT of course i am using the external nvidia GPU
but when i go to BIOS i found it reading only 3300MB . and i am already running on windows 7 x64 . and it says "4GB Ram (3.25 Usable) "
So what is the problem here ?

Thanks in advance ..

Do you have any of your RAM reserved for the integrated GPU or is it completely disabled?

Also try this - Press the Windows key+R, type 'msconfig' and press enter, click the boot tab and then click 'advanced options', uncheck 'number of processors' and 'maximum memory' and then restart your computer.

GPU has nothing to do with your RAM. There is no problem at all with 3.25 GB usable. It's fine.Old computer won't show as much of benefit as you probably have expected from adding extra 2 GB. What will is SSD at least 128 GB, then your PC will fly.
