Hi I have 2 kingston hyperx ram sticks ( one red and one black ). Both have same product numbers and it is khx1600c9d3/4gx.

So my question is would they work in dual channel mode with zero issues?

Is the only difference the paint job?

Will I get any problems?

they can work in dual channel as long as they have the same capacity and youn insert them in channel 1 and 2 respectively.

Also, you may want to see this.... apparently dual channel is not that great for everyday apps and gaming:

So, you should be fine either way :)

Every benchmark shows that dualchannel is better regardless how small the difference is,so why not go for it.
