I would go for the Gaming 5 because it is overall a better motherboard and if your buying from Newegg is a little cheaper. The differences are that the gaming 5 has Audio Boost 2 and SoundBlaster Cinema, an M.2 SATA slot and a better chipset (Z97) than the GD65. The reason the audio extras are such a big thing is because you will get much more crisp clear and louder audio as well as 7.1 surround sound with SoundBlaster Cinema. Trust me on this 7.1 surround sound makes a difference almost no matter what type of audio it is. It also makes you more aware in games, for example a sniper is shooting at you but you can't pinpoint where his shots are coming from with stereo sound (standard audio), but with 7.1 there are several different audio 'zones' so the sound plays from where the sound is coming from so you can find and take out that sniper. Also the M.2 SATA slot is a big thing because you can get extra fast storage using an M.2 SSD for things like your OS and games so you won't ever have to worry about slow hard drives wearing you down. Overall the only drawback you get with the Gaming 5 is 2 less hard drive plugins, from 8 to 6 but with the addition of the M.2 SATA slot it isn't really that big of a drawback considering what else your getting. Also I don't think you would ever really need 8 or even 6 hard drives unless your just getting a future-proof rig together. Which to be honest doesn't seem like it from the motherboard you picked out, so you should be fine.
