Best graphics card for the following

So, I have a fairly outdated system, which is sufficient for my needs. A while ago, I bought a used Radeon 6870, which lasted me well through a few years. Now, as I am beginning to play more AAA-like titles, I am in the market for a new graphics card. It has to be able to do the following:

Run recent titles at high or max settings at 40fps or more
Do this at up to 2k resolutions on dual monitors. (Note, I have 2 720p monitors at the moment)
Preferably have two DVI ports, one DVI-I, the other DVI-D.
Be within around $200 or less.
Preferably with around 3gb of VRAM. (I know this may seem like overkill, but I am beta testing a few games, that are poorly optimized. Even so, I like pretty visuals and good performance.)

Anyone have a personal favorite they can recommend?

Any help is appreciated.

Nope i use gtx 760 but with titles like ac unity and watch...
So you are asking for a card under 200$ which will give you 40+ Fps in max graphic settings at dual monitor of 2k resolution ?

First of all you have to get card from AtI radeon if you want dual monitor gaming nvidia surround doesn't supports 2 monitors.
And no single GPU can give you anything close to 40 FPS with 2x 2k monitor.

At your budget the best card would be R9 290 @ 199$ http://pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-1003634l it has 4 gb vram and will give you very good FPS in any game at 1080p

Maybe at 720p to 1080p would be acceptable. To me, resolution is not a huge factor, just something good. Really, 3+ gb of VRAM is a must, should have posted it.

Also, I said high or max settings. Even medium to high is acceptable. I am pretty flexible when it comes to this stuff, and I can adjust the settings as needed. You say NVidia does not support dual monitors?

Have you ever used this card? My current one is a Sapphire as well, and I like it. I don't have a great cooling system, so it will have to run relatively cool.

Nope i use gtx 760 but with titles like ac unity and watch dogs the card feels like outdated to me now so at 200$ if you are getting R9 290 then its the best deal yes its a hot and power hungry card but at the same time a powerful one.
