I am getting a budget casual gaming/ work/ web browsing computer for £850 or less and am going down the AMD CPU path. By spending a little more money on the FX-8320 will it improve my gaming/ browsing and video watching performance and is it worth it? I am getting a Nvidia GTX 760 GPU so I am not too worried about gaming but will it affect the general speed of my system because of its lower clock speed? (I don't want to be overclocking because I want to keep the life of my processor since I will not be upgrading for a while after this new build)

Won't make much difference for gaming either way. Both CPU's are mediocre in terms of gaming performance but will work. The choice to use a GTX760 is actually probably smarter than you may realize, as nvidias drivers and DX11 implementation tend to be better threaded, so at least you'll get some alleviation from the per-core performance limitation on the FX CPUs from the improved software implementation.

To be frank, if you're NOT taking advantage of overclocking on the AM3+ platform for a gaming system, or ECC memory support for a workstation, then there's really no point in using it. An i5-4440 doesn't cost much more, and offers much better gaming performance.
