Problem with pinned programs when using multiple drives

So I have three drives on my computer, an SSD with my system files and a few programs, and a couple larger drives. Sometimes when I try to launch something pinned to my taskbar or something from the Search in the Start menu, I get an error like this.

I have a C drive, which is the SSD, and then a D and E drives. D drive has things like browsers and games on it. I think I've narrowed it down to Windows attempting to access the filepath through Program Files (x86) when in reality the program is in Program Files.

How can I make Windows pin these things to the correct filepaths?

Uninstall all the applications you are having trouble with, delete all the shortcuts permanently, then install all the programs in your desired location. Make sure all the programs create a shortcut on desktop, now drag the shortcuts and pin them in taskbar, it should work now.

OR, remove all the shortcuts you made, then go to the application's folder, rightclick the exe file, select send shortcut to desktop, then from desktop drag them to pin on taskbar, hopefully it will work now. Good luck.
