Are my idle temperatures for my i5 3570k normal?

My 4 average temperatures I get are:

42, 35, 45, 35

Are these temperatures way to high for idle temps or what? I built this computer around 2 1/2 years go and I imagine either my heatsink (Cooler Master Hyper 212) is getting old, or the thermal paste has worn down.

Keddum,

Thermal compound should be replaced at least every 2 years. Your idle temperatures also depend on ambient temperature, fan speeds, case ventilation, and as Nuwan Fernando suggested, CPU usage.

However, there's a way to test your processor temperatures at idle, as well as at 100% workload ... Intel Temperature Guide - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1800828/intel-temperature-guide.html
