AMD FX 8350 performance issues

So I just got this new processor as an upgrade from the phenom 2 x4 965 black edition and for some reason i am experiencing more frame issues than i would with the old one. I am getting low perfermace and I keep getting studders. Thanks in advance.

Check your temperatures and check for dust? Are you using a stock cooler and how good is your case airflow? Overheating can cause thorttling which will slow down your CPU or other components. Make sure your motherboard also supports your new CPU. I also have the same CPU (Amd Phenom 965), and that is AM3 while 8350 is AM3+, I would check to see if your motherboard is compatible which would be why you have issues.
