Specs:
CPU: i5-4460
Mobo: Choosing between gigabyte GA-h97m-d3h , gigabyte ga-h87m-d3h or gigabyte ga-b85m-d3h
Ram: Gskill Ripjaws X 8GB 4gbx2 DDR3 1600 CL9 (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL)
GPU: Sapphire R7-265 Dual-X 2GB GDDR5 256Bit or Zotac GTX 750 Ti OC Ed 2gb 128bit
PSU: Corsair CX Series CX500M 80Plus-Bronze APFC Modular Power Supply

Is this okay? I need help especially on all of this though. I don't plan on OCing or upgrading this anytime soon.

What should i choose on the GPU and Mobo? thanks for the help.

*edit already have a OS, dvd player, monitor. Looking for a Storage and Case. Price range $600

GTX 750 Ti has a score of about 3,500. While R9 270X has a score of around 4,200. The advantage of GTX 750 is lower power consumption, often a smaller size, and better architecture. If you want true performance and best bang for the buck, I would go for the R9 270X, it's a great high-end entry level card. It should be able to go to high or max out most games. I myself have a Sapphire Vapor-X R9 270X and very happy to have it, my games are about 3X faster so I can play much higher graphics compared to my old hd radeon 5770.

Gaming PCs you want to put a big part of the budget on your GPU, because that will control graphcs. The r7 265 (not sure what are it's specs) and GTX 750Ti are both great cards, they may not be able to max out most games though maybe medium-high if you are doing 1080p, if you are doing higher resolution get a better card. All mobos look great, I would recommend going on newegg and clicking the compare box and then click compare and you can compare exact specs, from what I can tell they are all similar, may have small modifications from each one though.Other than that looks good but you need a case, dvd player, an OS, and storage.

Pricerange? And yeah, he is totally right in saying that the most of the money should be on the GPU. But you have to take into account that if you go with a higher end GPU, you will also need a stronger power supply.

my monitor is just 1080p though. And my budget is $600. I'm fine with med-high settings because i can't afford more for the GPU.

so any of these mobos will be okay? how about the PSU? thanks :)

Mobo should be good to go, they are a bit on the cheap-side but should do your purpose for a cheap gaming build. Also a 500W PSU is perfectly fine for your purpose, at max your system will take up 300-400W, probably much lower but that's probably what the minimum is. Having some headroom on your PSU is good and it leaves room for upgrades and future equipment. Also do you have your Storage, OS, and etc?

R7 265 is better than the R7 260X (Atleast from specs), I would get the GTX 750 Ti depending on price, that will have lower power usage and less load on the PSu, and is a bit smaller. Not as good as the R9 270X though.

Storage and case? If you can afford it get a cheap SSD for the OS to speed it up, but it's quite a bit extra. I would recommend 1TB-2TB storage for gaming so you have plenty of room for everything and games, and for the case. It's up to you, what size do you want, what style, and budget for case and storage would help. Typically bigger towers are more expensive but easier to work with and have more features, and typically better cooling and more expansion room.
