Mixing 2x2GB with 2x4GB RAM sticks?

Hi

I recently bought 2x4GB RAM and i wonder if these could work with my old 2x2GB sticks to get 12GB total.

2x2GB http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KVR1333D3N9_2G.pdf

2x4GB http://www.corsair.com/en/corsair-memory-4gb-ddr3-memory-cmv4gx3m1a1600c11

Motherboard http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3765#sp

and does testing it do any harm?

Naw, testing won't hurt anything you are just putting RAM sticks in. You should have no problems using the new RAM with your motherboard. Depending on the BIOS of the board, you will either run both sets of ram at the speed of your 2gb sticks (as they are the slowest of the two), or possibly it will run in 'mixed' mode, which will run both at seperate speeds. You will see when BIOS boots if it's using this or not.
