Can this PC run Battlefield 4?

Hello, I have been given a PC with the following specifications...
Monitor: 1920x1080
CPU: Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor X6800 2.93GHz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX
RAM: 2GB (what I think needs to be upgraded)
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium

I would like to know if this PC can run Battlefield 4 and if so what are the best settings to use?

That would have been a fine PC, years ago. I suspect that was someone's custom build. BF4 will run but not well and not in DX11 mode; that is a DX10 card. A GFX upgrade and more RAM would be a good thing.

According to the minimum requirements for BF4, your card will work. Keep in mind that this is the bare minimum. I would not consider for even a moment that it will run well.

Also, while playing BF4 - 64 Bit my PC uses around 4.5-5 GB of RAM. The minimum system requirement for RAM in BF4 is 4GB. 2GB is indeed not enough.

Your processor should work but only just barely.
