Hi there,
I am getting a gaming/general use/work computer with probably the intel i5-4460 CPU. On the intel website page for this CPU it talks about memory it says the speed is DDR3-1333/1600. Does this mean I can only get 1600Mhz memory max. If it does, does it make a big difference to the performance of the computer? Thanks!

This is a big No. that is the way Intel normally provides its specs. that is the base frequency being supported by the CPU. you can get higher frequency RAMs with this CPU. No issue at all. I'm using i7 4770 with 1866MHz RAM. On specs page of i7 4770 the same specs are mentioned that is 1333/1600MHz.

Ok thanks,
Does the ram speed make a big difference? In other words is it worth it to get 1833Mhz over 1600Mhz because of the price difference?

No not at all in gaming there isent much of a difference between 1333mhz ram and 2400mhz ram in game.
