Could you help me find a motherboard that work with my chosen cpu that doesn't require a bios update?

About £90 (could go to about £100 though)

I'm afraid that in that range you'll not find a board supporting the CPU with the first BIOS version release.
Some options: choose a different CPU (if you haven't already purchased it), or order the board, don't open the package and check the board's manufacture date according to the board's serial. If not supporting the CPU, return the board.

Is there any around the £110 mark?

Hello... That CPU model is very new... and a BIO's had to be written for it. The problem arises is that you need a OLDER CPU to update the BIO's.
Sometimes a phone call to a friendly site, they will be able to look at the BOX for their stock of MB's and the BIo's version on it..
You will need to research this on the MB MODEL/Brand websites.

The board that I've listed features Flashback.
If the board does not have the needed BIOS version, you can flash it.
In few words, you just connect a 24 pin power cable to the motherboard (no other components installed), insert an USB drive with the BIOS file in a specific USB port and press a button on the board.

Is that dangerous?

Not at all. With ASUS boards the BIOS chips are on socket and easy to replace. You can order one on ebay specifically for the model of your MB, if let's say the BIOS gets corrupted during the flashing process. Or you can simply RMA the board if not working.

I understand your worries, but there's nothing that can't be fixed.
Options, as I see them:
-order the MSI board before Christmas, check the serial and if too old, return the board;
-order an ASUS board with Flashback, check the BIOS version and if update needed, use Flashback;
-cancel the order for 4690k (if possible) and order a CPU that doesn't require a BIOS update.
