I would go with 16 GB of ram and only a 1TB ssd, and I would just go with i5 4690K instead, again that's only my preference since I have no need for hyperthreading, 4 physical cores are enough IMO.

I'd take the Z97-A over the Gaming 5, but that is my preference. Newegg has a combo deal though, $30 off the total if you buy the 4690K or 4790K and the Z97-A.

Stay away from MSI motherboards, they have QC issues.

Edit: Deal over. You can only get the combo with the 4690K at this time.
