The R9 295x2 and all its variants. What are the differences and are they worth the price jumps?

What are the differences between the various 295x2 cards? The lowest priced card sits at $650, they but seem to go as high as $1,350. Are the more expensive cards worth the price, and how do they compare against something like two GTX 970s? I've seen many benchmarks and most give the 295x2 the advantage, but I have no idea what variant they are testing.

well you could......some people thing that paying more for exact same product is better. in this case r9 295x2's are made by amd and shipped to vendors to be sold as......asus, xfx, sapphire etc and they put their boxes and stickers on cards. Lookm online on xfx and sapphire and tell me if you see difference in apperance, specs etc...

I chose Asus because of their reputation at building for games.

There must be at least some difference between them, don't each company OC them to a different speed and provide physical enhancements?

They all come clocked exactly the same, check the specs for each on there is no difference in clock speeds, i looked through all the different options before getting mine and there was no difference. I ended up,getting a gigabyte card because iv always used them and they have great warranty

All cards are exactly the same just different sticker. I would go with ASUS but price is kind of steady 1200+. So sapphire it is for me. They've been for a whilke on a market so i went with them now and in past. But thats personal preference. I would go with XfX and no MSI....just bad reviews and bad support.

Hope that helps

If they are all the same why not the version that is half the price?

Lookm online on xfx and sapphire and tell me if you see difference in apperance, specs etc except brand sticker. Only difference is that some companies mentioned above may overclock them slightly for couple hundreads more. OC version is hard to get anyways.
