I have 2 Monitors, 2 Keyboards/Mice, and I want to play co-op games on my PC.

Essentially, I would like to have one session of a game running on one monitor which has one pair of KB+M/Speakers assigned to it, while having another identical session like this running on the other monitor, all from one PC. I would like to use this setup for playing co-op games with friends. (I understand this explanation is poorly worded but it's the best I could do.)

Ideally, I would like to have a friend come over, sit at one setup while I sit at the other, and we play a co-op game together.

I am fully aware of multiseat programs such as SoftXPand, but I am trying to find cheaper and preferably free alternatives, but I don't know where to turn. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I think softxpand would be your only option, it only costs $30, i don't think that expense is unbearable. And it would likely be better than any other option, and you'd have professional support to get it working.

Fair point. However, I read a disclaimer on MiniFrame's website and enquired about it, here's the response I got: http://imgur.com/bZ9uJI1

This is a huge turn off for me as I will eventually have to upgrade my CPU and motherboard. I am looking for a multiseat program whose license will not expire when I upgrade my CPU or motherboard.
