Hello all,

I am once again in the market for a new build. It will be my 4th or 5th build and I really want to go all out this time with specs and water cooling as well as aesthetic mods.

I am currently in the process of picking out a case and would like to receive some inputs from the fellow computer geniuses.

I would like to go with a corsair obsidian case: 800D or 750D.

I have done many researches and looked at many video reviews.

800D's cons would be that it is a very old case... a first corsair case! Due to its age, it might be outdated in features compared to the newer cases. It is also discountinued and might be difficult to receive support from corsair if something were to go amiss.

750D's cons would be that it is speculated to have severe QC issues. Many reviewers on youtube as well as customer reviews from newegg claims of such problems. Not only that, but 750D suffers from inefficient air flow from the front of the case due to the front fans being choked from poor design.

However, whatever the cons may be, both cases are great. 750D has 4 star rating on newegg and as for 800D, even though I couldnt locate its rating on newegg due to being discontinued, is still known to be a very good case.

This is where 760t comes in. 760t is an almost flawless case with a solid 5 star rating on newegg. It doesnt seem to suffer from any problems such as restricted air flow, etc.

Which case of the three would you recommend? And what are your reasons?

(Btw I already have 800D so getting my hands on it is not a problem. Also, just because i have it doesnt necessarily mean i should just go with it. I am under the return period and it is unopened.)

I have one of these coming , for better Airflow.

The 800D is a good case, but probably not the best for water cooling. You could mount a 360mm rad up top and a 240mm on the bottom (with a mod IIRC).

I haven't heard of any QC issues with the 750D, I have one and I love it. Watercooling options are good and airflow really isn't a problem, having the front panel off only drops GPU temps a degree or two (CPU is watercooled). If it's a problem for you, maybe get some static pressure fans to use in the front. Corsair is working on a mesh front panel similar to the 450D, but who knows when that will be finished.

The 760t is a good case. I'd take the 750D over it any day, but mostly because I like how the 750D looks.

If watercooling, yes. You have a bit less space with the 750D, but more options for radiators.

For watercooling, your best options (sub $200) would be the 750D, Enthoo Pro or Luxe. Rad options are basically the same between the three, so it's personal preference. All three are good cases.

Awesome. I saw that a while ago and have been thinking of ordering one, Corsair is taking too long...
