Future-proof memory for Crosshair IV Formula

Hi there,

I have a Crosshair IV Formula with 8gb Komputerbay (Picked up cheaply when built)... with Christmas coming up I'd like to upgrade my memory; I think the memory i have is bit buggy, random BSOD's etc... So was thinking of Corsair Vengence 8gb (4x2)... maybye something like following...

Corsair Memory Vengeance Black 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CAS 9 XMP Dual Channel Desktop

Im also looking to upgrade motherboard, etc after Christmas sometime when I can, from ROG Crosshair IV Formula with Phenom II 1090t, to maybe the latest version, ROG Crosshir V Fromula-Z with fx8350

So i need to get some that will work well with that... will this memory be fine? or any other suggestions?

(Also: will probably be upgrading to 16gb memory after get motherboad etc, for using virtual machines etc)

have you gone into bios to set up your current RAM? That's probably all you need to do. Set optimized defaults in BIOS then set up the memory timings and speed.
