Hi I recently pooled up all my parts for my computer build, and I am having trouble when it turns on. It is on for a bit, and then restarts and just stays on. However, as this happens nothing is being displayed on the screen.

I removed the graphics card, and turned it on but that didn't change anything either. I think it's the BIOS not supporting the PC yet. I don't want to have to return my processor and all, so I was wondering if any of you guys had an idea of updating the BIOS for it or if there was something else that was wrong. Appreciate it!

My Parts:
i5-4690k
ASRock Z87 Extreme3
2 x 8gb 1866 mhz Kingston Fury
240 gb Corsair LS Force SSD
Antec 80 Platinum 750 Watts
R9 290 Tri-X Saphirre

Can you boot into BIOS? If so set it all up correctly starting with setting optimized defaults then anything else that needs setting, especially the memory timings and speed.

You might need a newer BIOS version. If you can boot into BIOS there is s good chance you can flash the latest version.

Thanks for the reply, I can't get anything to show up on the screen. I don't think I am able to boot into the BIOS with my processor until I update the BIOS somehow, since the support page says that it was compatible after a BIOS update.

I am thinking of taking it to microcenter where I bought it to see if their service people can help out since it is still under warranty from them. I don't know any other ideas?

One thing you can try is to reset the BIOS. Remove the MB battery with the comp unplugged, for around 10 to 15 mins. Then install the battery, etc and see if you can boot into bios. If you can you will need to set it all up correctly like I mentioned previously.
