Ok so, im kinda new to Tom's Hardware but i have a bit of a problem and would like some help from some of you experts out there, ;)
I just built my first rig a few months back and ive been having a problem, random restarting. Like the computer will stay running, fans still spinning and the leds still on but the monitor will shut off and when it comes back on the computer will be booting up again. I replaced my first gpu (r9 270x) for a gtx 750ti and that solved the problem for a few weeks, but it started happening again. I monitor my temps and everything, doesnt get above 50C
But when i trade out the gtx 750ti with some cheap 40$ gpu with no power connectors it works fine, i can game for hours with no problems. (besides bad frames and lack of quality) This has lead me to believe i have a Psu problem? i tried making the restart happening again whilst watching my voltages. My 12v rail never went below 12.038 i think. and my 5v rail never dropped below 5v. I used aida64 to monitor, not sure how accurate but used it. The problem hasnt reocurred for a few hours but id like to prevent this from happening again. (caused me a 7 day ban on cs go and dota 2 for abbandoning the matches :pfff: )
So any help would be extremely useful, sorry for the lengthiness of this but i really need help, ive dumped a lot of money on this and its really discouraging. Thanks!

well, i tried different pcie slots, same thing happens. is it not weird that the r9 270x (that had two 6 pin power connectors) was worse than the gtx 750ti (one 6 pin) and i have no problems with the 40$ gpu with no power connectors? idk i find it fishy, do psu's even go bad?
