BIOS switch - greater redundancy?

Hey all,

Just curious, for motherboards that support dual BIOS, does the presence of a physical BIOS switch make the backup BIOS more resistant to bricking?

Also, when in backup BIOS, is it possible to restore the Main BIOS back to factory version?

(The mobo in question is Z97x-UD5H).

Thanks!

Solution
Yup, that's exactly what the second bios is for. To make it safer for bios flashes, etc. And sometimes a bios will get corrupted from bad shut downs and the second bios will be available. Flashing will correct the problems unless both of the bios' are completely fried.

This was copied from page 19 of the MB manual.

BIOS Switch and BIOS LED Indicators
The BIOS switch (BIOS_SW) allows users to easily select a different BIOS
for boot up or overclocking, helping to reduce BIOS failure during overclocking.
The SB switch allows enabling or disabling of the Dual BIOS function.
The LED indicator (MBIOS_LED/BBIOS_LED) shows which BIOS is active.
