Hi guys,

Just trying my luck here, cause I read from a user's review that his Asus Strix GTX 970 does not fit completely in the PCI slot due to the SATA port/s blocking it.

I currently have a Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming and I wanted to check if any users of this specific board are also having problems with the SATA ports getting in the way of the GPU fitting perfectly in the PCI slot?

Thanks!

I read something similar and the issue was with another motherboard.
That motherboard didn't had angled SATA banks but upward facing ones. The SATA cables would then obstruct the graphics card, making the card not fit correctly.
The MSI Krait motherboard can't have that problem because it comes with angled SATA banks on the board.

hey so does it fit. I also want to get the ski z97s krait edition with my asus gtx 970 strip. I read a review saying that it won't fit because of the backplate in the way of the ram slots
