i pretty much just want to get my old harddrive with everything already on it and just plug it in to the new build and use it......is this possible what can happen to my new build

Solution
Backup any files you want to save if you are still able to. You will delete the old os when you Install the new os. It will be in the potions you will have to choose from.

prob best to do a new install... but you can use it if u want... load new mobo drivers, video drivers, best to uninstall the old drivers cause you may have issues... if Windows asks for a new key, then they will give you a phone # to call and tell them what you've done if it's an upgrade copy, but an oem copy you may need to buy a new version.

You need to back up files you want to save off your old system and do a complete OS reinstall. Period.
