Hello! Recently I purchased a 24 ft. HDMI cable so I could use my TV out in the family room to play games off of my PC. So I turned on my TV and plugged in the HDMI cable and it recognizes that it is there, but when I plug it into the spot where my main monitor goes, it does not detect in on the computer or the TV. I have an NVIDIA GeForce 760 and I am trying to connect to a Samsung TV. I am using Windows 7 also.

Any information on how to connect these two would be appreciated! Thanks!

Ithink you're pushing it with 24 ft - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI

"A cable of about 5 meters (16 feet) can be manufactured to Category 1 specifications easily and inexpensively by using 28 AWG (0.081 mm²) conductors.[106] With better quality construction and materials, including 24 AWG (0.205 mm²) conductors, an HDMI cable can reach lengths of up to 15 meters (49 feet)."

I'd say 5m (15 ft) should be it.
