How is this gaming pc build? (first time)

Solution
Why are you going with an intel mobo? Also, why a 3770k? FYI, then only difference between an i5 and an i7 is the hyperthreading that is supported in the i7 and the price difference. I recommend getting an i5-4690k and an ASUS Z97-A mobo. Switch out that ram for something like the HyperX Fury 2x4GB or 8GB sticks.

If you are willing to shell out $570 on a graphics card, then here are a few things else you need to do:
- Get ram that is at the very least 1600Mhz

- Get a more modern cpu such as the i5-4690k

- Get a Z97 motherboard

- Get a 256GB SSD

- Get a 2TB Western Digital BLACK hard drive

There is no point in spending that kind of cash on a graphics card and not spending right on the other components. If doing the above things puts you over your budget, then get a 970 instead of the 980. A 970 will have no problem maxing out games for the next 2 years either.

I'm pretty sure he wants to build it his way.
