I bought an MSI GE 60 laptop with a 1TB HDD on board and an empty Msata SSD, I have placed a 120 GB Msata SSD in the laptop and the computer recognizes it as a drive and I can put files onto it.
However when I go into the UEFI- Boot- Hard Disk Drive BBS priorities, my SSD does not show up and I cannot make it the priority drive for booting.
Have I gone about changing the Boot drive from the HDD to Msata SSD correctly?

If you want to enable "Intel Rapid Start Technology" you need to configure the disks in raid and then install the os on your regular hdd , thereby making your msata ssd as a cache by using the IRST application, which will increase the system's response time. Else, since you have a 120gb msata, you can actually install os in the msata drive itself which result in fast os booting and other benefits . when you format everything and install on the msata.. your uefi boot menu will show up as Windows boot manager
