Hi guys, i just bought a motherboard from Frys Electronics (MSI z97-g55 SLI, 1150 socket) and am a first time builder so sorry if i sound noobish, but anyway, i opened the motherboard and the first thing i was going to place was the cpu. After i unsecured the arm and pulled it up, i noticed there were about 5 bent pins.
I managed to place them back in their original spots the best i could and after about 10 minutes, it was looking good, no broken pins by the way. Its just a few pin tips that are slightly out of place, a little above the rest of the pins in the row, but hardly noticeable.
My question is, will this "fixed" incident affect my computers performance, or will it even boot up? I didnt even place the cpu inside at all, but im worried that this will damage it once i start it up.
All answers will be greatly appreciated
