Are these definite signs of bad ram?

All programs keep freezing and crashing a lot, especially Chrome
I get frequent BSODs, the most common one being MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
I also sometimes get some errors that say "memory could not be written"
I ran the memory diagnostics tool, and it said hardware problems were detected.
I also tried memtest, and even though I'm not sure what exactly I was supposed to be looking for, there were errors all over. Like from the start. Didn't even have to wait for hours (although I did leave it for a few hours)
I'm currently in safe mode with networking, and it seems to be working fine, or at least better.

I only have one 4gb stick, which was bought recently. I have since then replaced some components, but I'm wondering, is it possible that the old motherboard took the ram with it when it died? Because other than that possibility, I don't see what could've caused it to fail so hard. I was told by the computer store people that "there is no way that a brand new ram stick could be faulty"

So do you think it's definitely the actual ram stick that's bad? Or could it be something else?
