Hello guys,

I'm currently using MSI X48 Platinum motherboard for my pc.
http://www.msi.com/support/mb/X48_Platinum.html

My first ram slot is unusable due to big cpu cooler. And my 3 ram slot is "probably" not working, since no ram is working in that slot.

I use my 2 and 4 slots. But i have 2x2gb rams and its getting inadequate.

So, my problem is, can i use 2x4gb rams for my pc? Because my computer only support 8gb ram and i little confused about the max ram by slot. (i mean is there a such a thing?).

I'm thinking about buying this; Kingston 8GB Hyperx Genesis DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Kit PC Ram
link is turkish so sorry. But i find this, its similar

Thanks.

Hello... You have a MAX total of 8GB DDR3 and typically it is a MAX of 2 GB per slot for a S775... So just get a set like your current ones... You will have Compatability and 8GB total then.
You will might have to Turn your Cooler 90-180 degrees, or buy a taller one for your MB and RAM slot problem.
