To start I have a brand new pc build with windows 8.1 installed which I'm hooking up to my tv as a monito. My GPU is a Powercolor Raedon R9 280 and mobo is a MSI z97 PC Mate. I'm getting a black screen after the windows logo when connected to my GPU through a DVI to hdmi cord. I have tried cleaning my computer of existing drives (even though it's new) in safe mode and disabling the onboard graphics. Rebooted and installed the driver. Right when the driver is loading though it cuts to a black screen again. I have been downloading the latest driver from AMD's website(14.09), and even tried an older version, but nothing seems to work.

Try downloading from PowerColor's website. I can't help you here because AMD drivers are buggy as hell lol

Try disabling the antivirus. I have experienced a similar problem which was occuring due to antivirus. And please tell what you mean by "Right when the driver is loading".
