So you want to SLI 980? Sorry I misread your post.
Alright if budget is not a concern then go for it.
I think the MSI is the quietest and is fairly OCable.
I heard stories of coil whine with the Strix, I don't know if this has been addressed.

For "almost" the same budget and based on your huge PSU you might consider buying 2 GTX 970 in SLI config (I dunno if your mobo supports it).
The GTX 980 has only 10%-15% better performance for almost twice the price.

Ideally if you plan to run them in SLI I'd suggest getting a couple of reference models. They throw all the heat out of the back.

After market coolers are good but they dump heat directly into your case, this means the top card will invariably sucking in the hot air being ejected by the bottom card causing the cards to run hotter.

If you're set on after market coolers then the ASUS and MSI cards are going to perform near identically.

If I had to pick? EVGA :p Haha. But seriously, out of ASUS or MSI I'd go with MSI. Are you in the US? If you are you can get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127837
