Been quite an adventure to finally do this but finally have a list of components. Would someone be kind enough to point out what stupid error I have inevitably made or any improvements! Thank you, this community has been so helpful!

GPU - SAPPHIRE AMD R9 280 (http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1...)

CPU - Intel i5 4590 (what going to have 4460 but this is cheaper) (http://ark.intel.com/products/80815/Intel-Core-i5-4590-...)

Motherboard - MSI Z97 PC Mate (http://www.msi.com/product/mb/Z97_PC_Mate.html#hero-ove...)

Case - Carbide Series® SPEC-03 (http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/carbide-series-spec-03-whi...)

Ram - From current HP pre-built DDR3 at 1600 MHz (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en...)

Hard Drive - From above

PSU - Corsair CX600M (http://www.corsair.com/en/cx-series-cx600m-modular-atx-...)

Thank You so much please say if I have missed anything!
Hopefully one day I will get good enough to repay the favour

Solution
Everything is compatible however there's a few things I'd change , I'd get a XFX 550W PSU instead of Corsair 600M as Corsair's CX series are made of cheap capacitors and known to fail under load also I'd purchase new pair of 2x4gb RAM @anything higher than 1333mhz.

Moreover I'd change the Motherboard to something Like Asrock H97 Pro 4 as it's better quality and very reliable since this is a non-overclockable CPU anyways.

Recommendations : If you have the money then grab a Crucial 128GB SSD which is very cheap yet very reliable and will make your loading and booting times lightning fast , much better than a normal HDD. Furthmore , If you can afford to pay extra 50 bucks on the GPU to get the R9 290 then that will be a huge leap...

Thank you for the response. Will look into the XFX, being in the UK they like to mess you over and it would come with the wrong plug so would have to use an adaptor but can work around that. Ram is top of to upgrade list. ASrock is a more than this MSI board for some odd reason but will look into changing them. SSD is also a great idea to consider and the R9 290 is another $130 for the UK :(

Thank you for your help and suggestions

Wow your so kind!!
Budget is £400-£450 but can stretch to £500
Have a 2TB hard drive already and Windows 8 as well as the ram but as you said its by no means the best. Also taking the CD drive from my current PC but that's about it, no preferences past that.

Thank you so much!

You can always add the New Ram later when you have the money !! I opted for a better GPU over a more reliable SSD. Also I couldn't find the 4590 cheaper than the 4460.

Feel free to ask any questions :)

No need to thank me and ohh You're welcome !
