Hey guys, recently posted here and got a lot of help from the community which was great however I'm back to find the very best option on the best day of the year to order it.

Budget: 1,300 $
Include: Full PC, Monitor, OS
Purpose: Gaming (WoW, BF4, CoD), Streaming and Video Editing
When: Ordering tonight before the Cyber Monday deals are no more.

This PC is for my wife to begin gaming with me so I would like it to perform well and last us a couple years before needing an upgrade. Thanks guys.

Amazing deal on the monitor.

You may not need 16GB, but it will depend on the editing you're doing.

i ve used RAM with not so big heatspreaders . So , when other 2x4GB are added later on , they wont block the huge aftermarket cooler (usually memory slot 1) .

Not to be too picky when asking for help on this, but I want to make sure im making a good investment here. If anybody could shine some light on why a custom build would be better than just going with something like what is linked above that would be great. However Iif what I have linked is my best option then just a little shove in the direction of why I should go with that build to reassure myself would also be helpful

Agreed, but the fact that an R9 290 is ALMOST as fast as the 970, and faster in a handful of games, and more than $100 cheaper depending on the availability, makes it too good not to pass up.

+1 on better RAM, and you definately want 2x4GB to take advantage of dual-channel. NewEgg has a ton of deals on G.Skill Sniper and RipJaw right now.

Assuming you're grabbing a 1080p display with this, just buy a single R9 290, as that should max out most games for a long time. Crossfire is a lot to deal with on a first build. If you do go that way, or go later, be sure to get a blower-style card, or one that will expel hot air out the back of the case. If you're only getting one GPU, you can drop to a 650W PSU. The Sapphire Tri-X isn't bad. Also, skip the (k) series processor and huge cooler if you're not going to overclock.

This is exactly what I was looking for however are you able to put together a list of this like they did as im not too familiar with the parts?

I'd just take Rockie's build above, and swap out the GPU with whatever R9 290 or GTX 970 is on sale.

I'd also bump the RAM up to 1866 or higher, as games are just starting to use that speed, and it's usually the same cost. Make sure you stick with a dual-channel (2x4GB) kit, and a reputable brand. G.Skill and Crucial are both good brands, and should have some sales today.
