I'm assuming the asnwer is yes, but I wanted to get opinions on what people think is best. I have a NAS 220 with two 1TB drives in RAID. I want to ugrade to two 3TB drives, which is simple enough, but do I have to get Seagate drives? Seagate has a list of compatible "qualified" drives here http://knowledge.seagate.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/212777en, but it looks like it is their recommendation. One key bit of info from that page show that the largest capacity drive they recommend is 3TB.

Would it be safe to say I can use any hard drive that fits and is no larger than 3TB? Aside from it being the same brand and "qualified", is there any other reason to buy Seagate brand?

Thanks in advanced!
