Hi, I just purchased 2x4gb 1600MHz DDR3 ram. However, they only seem to be running at 1333MHz. I am trying to adjust this in the BIOS but I'm not sure how to do that.

My motherboard is a GA-P55-UD3L. Here is a picture of what I can change.

Thanks in advance.

what make is your RAM exact product code then we can give you the exact numbers to enter.
It might have a XMP setup you can use.
Otherwise if you still have the packaging the clockspeed, latencies and voltage you need to input

Hi, I do have the packaging still, but it does not give me any information other than a warranty.

Here is my exact RAM

Thank you in advance for the help.

EDIT: Here's a picture of the back of the ram:

Right here are the things you want to change in BIOS:
Memory Speed: 1600Mhz
Timings 10-10-10-28 2N
Voltage: 1.5

They are the settings you want to change in the BIOS with the number to change them to next to it.
I assume you can do this by changing the top one from auto and entering your own speeds, after Go to "channel A timing settings" and input the Timings there repeat this for the other channel. Any problems with the timings show me a picture of the "channel A timing settings" screen so I can tell you what to type where. Make sure the voltage is 1.5 and boot.
Check the RAM speeds in Cpu-z (download here: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html ), if you are unsure screenshot Memory and SPD tabs in CPU-z and post the pictures here so I can see them.

Here are pictures of the system memory multiplier screen, and the channel A timings screen.

System memory multiplier: http://imgur.com/cUQJWdW

If I change the values of the system memory multiplier, the highest value, 10, gives me a speed of 1333MHz. However after googling I'm pretty sure I can get higher speeds than that with this board.

As for the channel timings, I'm assuming the 4 numbers you gave me should be entered as those first 4 values?

Thank you for your help by the way.

Yeah that is how you set the timings, was not sure how it would be displayed. Change the command rate at the bottom to 2 (that is what the 2N meant). As for the speed I said the wrong thing leave that on auto. Goto Frequency/voltage control>Memory configure>DRAM frequency (second down) and change that to 1600Mhz.

Hi, unfortunately I could not find this setting anywhere in the bios. The only place I saw you could change frequency was the system memory multiplier option. However I was able to change all the other settings. Thanks again for your help. Once again my mobo is GA-55--UD3L.
