Hello,
I will try to make this as short as I can. I am planning to build my first Pc and having no clue on how to build one and whether the parts are compatible I used pcpartpicker in order to minimally understand it and know what parts to get. I have a few questions however.
1) is pcpartpicker reliable when it comes to size as well? and is it reliable at all?
2) If all my components are reliable, Is there anything missing from it? for example I read stuff like power supply, thermal control, fan case, and wired network. are those things that I need in order to run a desktop or are they just there as extras, I would assume desktops have a slot for an Ethernet cable, if that's what a wired network refers to?
3) If all my components are compatible, do you guys think it is a good desktop for gaming? I mean I mainly chose the components I chose simply because of the high number or reviews it had (good ones) as I figured those people knew what they were talking about.

My pc parts:

P.S I do not speak computer language, I don't know what a sli is or a pci slot is, I don't even know what overclock is, so please explain as if I were really dumb.

King regards

The PSU is 750 watt so if you SLI in future then you dont have to change the PSU any more.

SLI / CF means running 2 or more GPU in a same PC when you play at high resolution like 4k or triple monitor then its difficult for a single card to run games smoothly at those resolution so at that time SLI comes in handy CF or crossfire is also same but its for AMD card.

Overclocking is done for squeezing more out of the CPU or GPU you will easily find tons of overclocking guides from youtube its not that hard.

Hope this helps if you have any other questions i will be glad to reply them.

First of all, awesome answer, You didn't make many changes so I will definitely take yours into consideration, may I ask why an i7 is overkill though? I always thought i7 are better than i7. You also added a power supply, I was unsure if i needed one. In addition, as you didn't mention it, I'm assuming that it will all fit perfectly inside the case? Lastly what fan case would you choose and do I need a wired network adapter, fan controller, thermal control?

P.S the graphic card you mentioned, I had previously considered it too, so that works too. And amazing sasuke/sharing pick. Cheers

Good to know that you like my suggestions and my avatar. :)
I7 is overkill for gaming because i7 is generally needed for rendering and animations work and in games the I5 and I7 will give you identical performance so getting an I7 is spending excess money if this build is just for gaming.
Yes the PSU is going to fit perfectly inside the case.
Case is about personal choice so its up to you the case you are getting is good i will prefer this one (Full tower case with good cooling 1x140 mm at rear and 1x200 mm fan at front and have a fan controller for supporting additional fans and controlling them).
Wired network adapter you wont need but you can get a wireless network adapter if you want.
Thermal control i dont understand that but if you mean thermal compound then the h100i comes with a small tube of TP for 3-4 times of use.
The gtx 970 is considered one of the best GPU ever made by nvidia and the price performance ratio is also excellent.
