This is my rig:
Windows 8.1 x64
mobo is a pc mate z97
cpu is a g3258
graphic card is one of the 7800 series 2gb
and i have 8gb ram

My problem is that the "dedicated system memory" is too high... 50% of all my ram is being shared with my video card which already has 2gb available by itself.

Total Available graphics memory - 5888 MB
Dedicated Graphic Memory 2048 MB
Shared system memory - 3840 MB

Ive looked everywhere in the BIOS how to "disable" or lower the dedicated system memory and ive had no luck.

Solution
Your graphics card will always take priority as it is the primary display adapter in use.
The onboard graphics only come in to play if you decide to use them, for instance, if you connect a display to one of the ports (and not all systems allow usage that way anyways)
You have nothing to worry about :)
