I have a Windows 7 PC, installed a Asus Xonar sound card, turned on computer and now I have no video.

I must have done something wrong but need help to get video.
Here's what I did.

Before turning off computer, I disabled onboard audio devices in BIOS.
Shut computer off.
Unplugged power cord.
Installed Asus Xonar DGX sound card in a PCIe x 4 slot.
The PCIe x 1 slot is blocked by the AMD video card plugged into a PCIe x 16 slot
The PCIe x 4 slot is the only one available, could not use the PCIe x 1 unless I remove video card.
The AMD video card and new sound cards are the only cards I have installed.
How come I have no video?

Typing this on iPad

Here's what I did.
Removed sound card, turned on computer and heard a beep and a message displayed on screen about incompatible hardware device in BIOS.
So in BIOS I enabled audio devices saved/exit BIOS and got video back.

Does the new sound card not like that PCIe x 4 slot?

Try uninstalling all audio drivers in the device mangler. Device manager/Sound, select the audio device/ right click, uninstall. Restart computer, go into bios, disable onboard audio, try new sound card again.

Spec - http://www.gigabyte.com.au/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4192#sp -
says
"1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)
(The PCIEX16 slot conforms to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)
* For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot.
* PCIE Gen.3 is dependent on CPU and expansion card compatibility.
1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4)
1 x PCI Express x1 slot
(The PCIEX4 and PCIEX1 slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)
1 x PCI slot"

The sound card - http://www.asus.com/au/Sound_Cards_and_DigitaltoAnalog_Converters/Xonar_DX/specifications/

says "Compatible with X1, X4, X8, X16 PCI Express slots"

So it should be fine in any pcie slot.
