Hello guys,

Kaspersky network monitor shows that in a matter of 21 days my windows operating system has received 25 GB & sent 17 GB. I haven't set the windows to update automatically. So it's definitely not updating regularly. So I'm wondering why it's happening. Needless to say it's eating a lot of my Internet bandwidth. So is there any way to completely disable the Win 7 from using my Internet ??. I only want to enable it when I'm updating, which happens only once in a month. Thanks in advance :)

Check to see if thats also network traffic? Such as stream movies/music from your computer to another computer in your house or vice versa?

Because theres no way Win7 should use that much bandwidth with its updates. Heck a freshly reformatted laptop only needs like 1.8 GB worth of updates (assuming at least SP1).

Your program might be measuring ALL types of traffic incoming and outgoing from your computer and not just traffic leaving your network?
