Hello
I recently moved in with a friend, moving from my old network (no problems) to his. His setup is as follows: DSL -> Router -> LAN cabel -> His computer
For him, and any guests he has had, the network works without any problems. But I'm having problems.
Problem description
I connect to the network via a LAN port in the router just like him. I get internet access, but then things get weird.
1) I can browse the web via IE or Chrome, but only some websites work. Some works just fine, others simply wont load. I can't find any similarities between the not working ones.
2) Also, only few programs has internet access - so far it's my browsers and Spotify. But Skype and the two game clients I use can't gain internet access. Even Windows Update couldn't gain access to search for updates.
What I've tried

What I've tried
- - Complete Windows 7 reinstall
- 3 different LAN-cables, including the one my friend is using
- All 4 LAN ports in the router
- Reset the router to factory defaults
- Searched for driver updates for my NIC (driver was up to date)
- Sharing 4G connection from my phone via USB - then everything works just fine
- Connecting to the network wirelessly with my phone - then Skype and not accessible websites works just fine on the phone
- Checked the router assigns my computer an IP-address. It does.
- Disabling firewall
