Hi, i am planning on getting the LG 24MP56HQ and i also have another viewsonic monitor, i have a few questions:

1.Can i run 60hz on that lg monitor via the hdmi plug that it has?

2.If i run dual monitors, one as an auxillary and the lg one for my gaming, will it slow down my pc? in other words, will it effect on the fps that i am getting in game?

Here are my specs: i7 4770,16gb ram,gtx 760 4gb,120gb kingston ssd

Thank you in advance

Are you confusing frame rate (FPS) and monitor refresh Hz? It would seem so. FPS is a function of the processing power of your CPU and graphics card. Monitor refresh is independent of that and HDMI is certainly capable of supporting refresh rates of up to 144Hz on a 1920x1080 monitor.
Interestingly enough, the specifications on LG's site does not mention the refresh rate. Regardless of which of the connections it has (HDMI or D-Sub) you should get whatever the refresh rate of the monitor is. In general, I've only encountered a few, ultra high-definition (4k) monitors and TVs) that does not support 60 Hz refresh rates, so you should be OK.

Your graphics card seems to be more than adequate ti support both monitors the way you are planning to use them.

Thanks for the reply. and actually i see the main question here being is that does it support 60hz? because i play a lot of cs go and 1.6 and bf4... ive never actually seen 60hz via hdmi... although i do beleive the max of hdmi is 60hz and no more... Any of you guys know anything about the lg monitor i mentioned above? is it good?
