Put a new graphics card in my pc and now there is no signal

Hey guys, i got my gainward 2gb geforce gt 740 today and when i booted my pc i had no display. When i took my card out and tried to use my intergrated graphics it wont work still. I dont have access to enough money to replace parts. So is there any way i can fix this problem. All help is massively appreciated i just want my pc to work

Thank you for replying so quickly, i took the battery out and after waiting 3 mknutes put it back in. No beeps just an extremely quiet startup fan but still no display ... also if it makes any difference my keyboard and mouse that usually get plugged into the motherboard are also not lighting up.

CPU fan is spinning like usual but no beeps upon the boot up after thw cmos reset

Moved it to the other slot. No beeps.

Connected hard drive, keyboard and mouse, vga. No POST and no power to keyboard and mouse (i dont own a CD Drive)

Motherboard = as rock FM2A55M-DGS
PSU = 500W CiT model 500cb
CPU = AMD A4 5300K
RAM = 2 x generic 2gb
Hard drive = blank 120gb
 
ok I do see a lot of this with them fm2 type boards -- I don't know if its a amd all in one driver has a conflict wit the card or is there a bios setting to switch over to pci-e as most do???? sorry I cant be more help .. also you looked over the boards manual on what to do for a card over the onchip ??

Its no problem. the amd driver doesnt usually confict and i cant even get my pc to boot the bios. Manual has nothing except for getting started and health and safety in 9 different languages.
