Put a new graphics card in my pc and now there is no signal

Hey guys, i got my gainward 2gb geforce gt 740 today and when i booted my pc i had no display. When i took my card out and tried to use my intergrated graphics it wont work still. I dont have access to enough money to replace parts. So is there any way i can fix this problem. All help is massively appreciated i just want my pc to work

Hi, Try clearing the CMOS (unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for a minute). Start the board without the graphics card. See if posting.

Thank you for replying so quickly, i took the battery out and after waiting 3 mknutes put it back in. No beeps just an extremely quiet startup fan but still no display ... also if it makes any difference my keyboard and mouse that usually get plugged into the motherboard are also not lighting up.

If starting the board with only CPU and CPU fan, is the CPU fan spinning and are you getting any beeps?

It's not properly inserted, or RAM not recognized. Try next slot with a bit more force (take care to not damage the slot though).

I'd say that it's a motherboard issue. Is it under warranty?

ok I do see a lot of this with them fm2 type boards -- I don't know if its a amd all in one driver has a conflict wit the card or is there a bios setting to switch over to pci-e as most do???? sorry I cant be more help .. also you looked over the boards manual on what to do for a card over the onchip ??

Its no problem. the amd driver doesnt usually confict and i cant even get my pc to boot the bios. Manual has nothing except for getting started and health and safety in 9 different languages.

lease enter BIOS\Advanced\North Bridge Configuration page, adjust [Share Memory] option to Auto, and disable [Dual Graphics] option.

you may need to enter and adjust bios with the on chip first then make the changes for the card save and exit then hook the gpu up and restart ??
