I want to purchase this motherboard but i am worried that it will not be able to handle this CPU. i understand that it will work and fit etc.. but will it be able to do everything effectively? I want to do a slifght over clock. Thanks!

Good board, good price when on sale. overclocking is luck of the chip for the most part with haswell as the vrm's are on the chip. VRM's on the mobo are as important as the ones on your psu, fft

It will work in any H97 or Z97 board, and B85, H81, H87, Z87 boards with an appropriate bios update.

No much point in overclocking the i7-4790k, it will already boost up to 4.4Ghz by default. Once you start increasing voltage, temperatures go up rapidly. Most people can reach about 4.7 Ghz.
