This is my first post and I'm new to all of this so please be gentle and patient.

I recently purchased a PNY 64GB Elite Performance Micro SDXC I put it in my New Galaxy Note 4 which mounted and could be seen, I connected it to my pc and installed my previous phones back up, it all installed ok then I notice the phone was not see the memory card I clicked mount SD card but it was coming back with card damaged try formatting of which I did but no joy.

I put the card in my Galaxy SIII and it saw it but it wouldn't format it same with putting it in the PC it see's the contents but you can't delete or format.

I've tried everything check disk says write protected tried other formatting software same thing tried the regedit trick had to make the folder StorageDevicePolicies and WriteProtect set to all 0's still nothing.

I've tried all of the above on 3 different pc's same thing with all 3 PC's, have tried a number of adapters with lock's in the unlocked position, so confused to what's going on with it.

I'm pulling my hair out here as it cost over £40 and don't want to trash it. Sorry for such a long post hope someone out there has an answer and thank you in advance to any advise that can be given.

Done that about a million of times on about 10 different adapters I'm lost? what I don't get how has the Micro SD become write protected or locked when out of the adapter as when in the SIII you still can't delete or format it.

Try a 3rd party app. This might help:

I had a USB drive that I was messing around with an encryption app with. It did the same thing. Something I did made it write protected and I could not access it at all. The only thing that worked was Acronis True Image. I created a new partition with True Image and then I was able to access the drive and format and then use it again. If the app above does not work, download the free for one month trial of True Image and I bet you can fix the SD card if it is not toast.

It's formatting will come back and let you know if it's worked as to this point absolutely nothing has even Pny are clueless. Although I would say to others using the programme make sure the correct drove is selected as it detects all your drives unlike SD Formatter which just see's your SD Card, so far so good fingers crossed this works,

Sadly after waiting ages it decided to tell me the file size is to big, this is doing my head in big time.

I've just ran chkdsk and basically although you can access all the files on the card like my photo's and music it's running through chkdsk and basically saying everything is corrupted?
